Our Drivers
As well as our coaches being the best possible vehicles it is also extremely important to have the best people behind the wheel. “No longer can the driver just be a steering wheel attendant”
That is why we have developed a driver training programme that ensures the passengers receive the best possible service.
Our ongoing driver assessment means that all drivers are completely aware of their requirements.
It is also important to note that Drivers have completed a NSW Ministry of Transport Driver Authority Course, Victorian Driver Certificate, Working with Children Certifications and Coach Drivers have trained at DECA Hazardous Training Course in Bright.
Fleet Maintenance
It is safe for our passengers to know that all of our vehicles are maintained above the manufacturer’s specifications and our vehicles are externally checked for roadworthy by the Roads and Maritime Authority at least 2 times a year so passengers have no worries about the vehicle.
Clean and Green
The good thing about coach travel is that it already has a tiny carbon footprint. The travel industry contributes just 1% of the worldwide carbon footprint. But that is only a part of our commitment to a cleaner greener Australia. Our fleet is maintained above the manufactures specifications to avoid “old smokey” discharge and smelly exhaust fumes. Our drivers are trained to drive at the most efficient way to avoid hard breaking and sharp accelerations.
Also at Lakes Coaches we use B.P. fuel -widely known as the cleanest and best fuel produced.
and Riordan Fuels with innovative fueling who are also a family owned business, Our clean and wash system has been designed to use the minimum amount of water possible while using a separator system to be sure that the water released back to the system is clean as possible.
