Easter Saturday each and every year Kerang comes alive as the Annual Cup Meeting is held.

Gunbower Racing Club – Gunbower Victoria


Gunbower — one of Australia’s smallest and historic racing clubs holds its annual Cup meeting, the Gunbower Gold Cup each October.

For a town of just 253 people set on the Gunbower Creek and the mighty River Murray, the Gunbower Gold Cup is an iconic event, that brings thousands of visitors, with the Gunbower Racing Club having held its first race day on 22 January 1881.

Moulamein Race Club - Moulamein NSW


The Moulamein Race Club holds its annual race meeting on the second Saturday in December.

The small, remote town of Moulamein, see’s their population swell 4-fold with a huge following of racegoers attending this pre-Christmas event.

Set on a spacious and relatively untouched rural reserve, this makes for a truly authentic country race meeting like no other.

The day includes a 6 race programme run on a dirt track, the 100m straight is lined with private, track-side & fully catered marquees. The crowd’s attire is everything from relaxed country, right through to some of the most breath-taking country races fashions, all chasing the highly prized title of queen of Fashions on the Field.
